African Short Necked Lute
This short necked African instrument originates from Ruanda. Its body consists of a thin 23mm iron wheel. There is cover made from skin attached to thesides on this body. Four strings made of cord reach to the four tuners by a carved nut. Probably these strings are played without being shortened. When the structure of the instrument is checked, it is possible to see the traits of Banjo which is still common in our time.
