Kashgar Rubab

‘Kaschgar Rubab’ is one the most popular instruments in Uzbekistan. The holes and the tuners in the form of a hook at the the bottom part of the neck are the characteristic features of the instrument. The body of the instrument is attached with ten ribs. 24 frets made from copper are mounted to the handle and five tuners are used to stabilise one thick string and four double steel strings. The instrument is played with a plectrum.
