Metalophone

It is a version of Xylophane with metal keys. Metelophone is a member of percussion instrument family. It consists of flat metallic sticks which are ordered in two lines from the big one to the small on a table. Each stick is tuned for a different musical note. Because of that, unlike the tambour or drum which are used to play to thum out, it is used to performed the melodies. It is played by beating the strings with a pair of knob whose points are covered with felt or plastic. The pipes are located under the into the screwed hollows under the knobs according to their size to increase the sound volume. The stick which vibrates when it is beated with knob quivers the air column in the pipe and increases the sound volume. Volume sonore is four octave.
