Mvet.wpntr2018-12-19T18:28:55+00:00It is a characteristic harp-like string instrument of the Western countries of Africa. Its strings are made from the same materials as the instrument is. The peel from the palm tree were detached and used as strings which are placed on a bridge. The strings are picked with the fingers. The circles which are made from a characteristic tree of Africa called as Rotang are used to compress the string and by this way, the sound is emerged. The calabash on the instrument is pressed against the chest while playing it.
