Banjo

The Banjo kind instruments are played by pulling the strings. But they have also percussion characteristic. The sekind of instruments is common in the country music and jazz music groups. It is a kind deriving from the instruments with long neck brought to America by slaves. Its body resembling to the ‘Tambourine’ consists of a round frame and a vellum cover, which is attached to the body withs crews. The Banjo at the frontside is a Tenor Banjo, the one at the back a Mandoline Banjo. Mandoline Banjos are smaller than the other members of this family. Four metallic double strings having the same chord with Mandoline are attached to the instrument (it was patentedundr the name of Banjolin in 1885). This instrument comes from Italy.
