The neck is either plastic or metallic but it doesn’t usually have resonance strings. The tones of the strings has diffrent intervals than sarod. The sound is high because of its small structure. This instrument is common in Bengal region. The instrument with seven strings in front also reminds of Sarodand it is probably another type of Dotara. The bottom part of the body is coated with goat skin and this cover is attached to the body with wooden clips. The neck has two sound strings. Six strings are tied to the tuner box and one of them is attached to a tuner on the side part.
