The calabash is cut vertically and it is covered with animal skinand the upper part of the calabash forms the neck part of the instrument. The ‘Hegit’ which is made from tree and the ‘Kemancha’ from the Black Sea region are the mumbers of the wood covered category of the Turkish folk music instruments.
