It is a one string instrumet produced in a half calabash shape to produce the sounds. A half coconut crust is replaced into the interior part of the instrument which helps the sound to be produced. The metallic string is pulled by the help of a plectrum worn on the index finger of the right hand; meanwhile, to adjust the volume of the sound, the other fingers of the same hand touch the string smoothly, while the left hand is used to adjust the tension of the strings. The part of the instrument made from calabash is pressed to the chest while playing and the sound changes according to the distance of it to the board. This instrument accompanied to the blind musicians during the cerenomies held in the temples in old times. This instrument, which is difficult to play, is still used in our day.
