The bottom and cover parts are attached to the sides. There are six wooden frets and four double strings made from steeel and the the material used for the instrument commonly is spruce. There are a smaller (Ukulele-sized) and a bigger size (like the European guitar) with 5 and sometimes 7 double strings.
