Sarinda Sorod

The Sarod at the right side is a fretless instrument originating from Afghanistan instrument ‘Rabab’ and is one of the fundamental instruments of classical Hindustani music. A traditional Sarod has six basic strings, two bourdon and eleven sympathetic strings. The neck part is metallic and has a cover from skin. It is played with a plectrum made from Indian walnut.
