Sipsi

It is a wind instrument originating from Anatolia. The body part is made from bone, tree and cane. There is a little part at the end of the instrument called as ‘Cukcuk’ made from cane and it produces the sound. This part is totally taken into the mouth and it is blown. It is usually an accompaniment instrument, played in ‘Teke’,’Zeybek’(Traditional Turkish Dances) and ‘homesickness’ music. It is a Turkish folk music instrument.
